FOUR RODE OUT

Cinemavixion Review

John Peyser's 1969 Western, "Four Rode Out," offers a twist on the familiar revenge narrative. Starring Pernell Roberts and Sue Lyon, the film centers on a U.S. marshal tasked with apprehending a Mexican bandit. However, as the pursuit unfolds, the seemingly straightforward mission reveals layers of complexity, suggesting that the initial accusations may not tell the whole story. While the film may not have garnered widespread critical acclaim or major awards, its exploration of hidden motives and the moral ambiguities inherent in frontier justice provides a compelling, if understated, viewing experience for fans of the genre.
