Demofilo Fidani's "Four Came to Kill Sartana" (1969) plunges viewers into the dusty, lawless landscape of Clayton City, where a ruthless gang of seven masked bandits has made a lucrative business out of kidnapping prominent citizens for ransom. When Mayor Frank Clonny's cousin, Susy, is taken, he attempts a risky plan to both recover the ransom money and apprehend the criminals. However, the bandits' escalating audacity, demonstrated by the subsequent kidnapping of young Ricky, forces Clonny to seek outside help. Enter Sartana, a mysterious figure recruited to bring order to the terrorized town. The outlaw leader, recognizing Sartana as a formidable threat, halts their thievery to focus on eliminating him. To this end, four specialists are hired: the whip-wielding Buffalo, the knife-throwing Ramirez, the strongman Sullivan, and the swift gunman Silky.
