FORGOTTEN REVOLUTIONARY WAR BATTLEFIELD SKELETONS DISCOVERED | BATTLE OF CAMDEN

Cinemavixion Review

History Hit presents a compelling documentary delving into the often-overlooked Battle of Camden during the American War of Independence. Narrated by Dan Snow, the film offers an intimate look at recent archaeological discoveries, including the exhumation and formal memorialization of 14 soldiers buried in shallow graves on the battlefield. Snow guides viewers through South Carolina, meeting with historians, archaeologists, and forensics experts to reconstruct the events of this pivotal 1780 engagement. The documentary sensitively portrays the young age of many fallen soldiers, emphasizing the human cost of this decisive, yet historically marginalized, theater of the Revolutionary War. It serves as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made and the foundational struggles that shaped the United States.
