FORECLOSURE

Cinemavixion Review

Brett Bentman's 'Foreclosure' presents a chilling premise: a young couple seeking a spectral roommate in their new home. While the narrative hints at supernatural encounters, the film primarily delves into the psychological unease that can accompany a new, perhaps too-good-to-be-true, property. Derrick Redford and Tiffany McDonald anchor the film, navigating the eerie atmosphere with a grounded performance that emphasizes the couple's growing apprehension. The film's strength lies in its subtle build-up of tension, allowing the audience to question whether the haunting is external or born from within the characters' own anxieties. 'Foreclosure' is a modest, yet effective, exploration of fear and the unknown, offering a unique twist on the haunted house trope.
