FOR THE LOVE OF GOD: THE MAN WHO THINKS HE'S JESUS

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary offers a fascinating, albeit unsettling, glimpse into the life of Alan John Miller, a man who claims to be the reincarnation of Jesus Christ. The film meticulously documents Miller's global following, exploring the dedication of his devotees who travel vast distances and provide financial support for his teachings. While media outlets have often cast him as a 'fantasist' or 'cult leader,' the documentary presents a nuanced portrait, allowing viewers to grapple with the complex psychology and sociological dynamics at play. The sheer scale of his online presence and the fervent devotion he inspires raise profound questions about belief, identity, and the human need for spiritual guidance in the modern age. It's a compelling, thought-provoking exploration of a modern-day messianic figure.
