FOR HER

Cinemavixion Review

Grace Petro's "For Her" (2021) is a taut thriller that masterfully exploits the unsettling familiarity of returning home, only to find it corrupted. Starring Edo Born, Sydney Day, and Maren Hill, the film plunges viewers into a narrative of escalating dread as a woman is lured back to her small hometown under the guise of familial concern. The discovery that she's been ensnared for more sinister purposes forms the chilling core of this suspenseful tale. Petro, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Sydney Day, crafts an atmosphere thick with foreboding, making "For Her" a compelling watch for those who appreciate psychological tension and a well-executed mystery.
