FLYING DREAMS: WOMEN AIRFORCE PILOTS OF WWII

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary illuminates the often-overlooked contributions of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) during World War II. It chronicles the journey of 25,000 American women, drawn from diverse backgrounds, who pursued their passion for flight while serving their nation. The film compellingly portrays their rigorous training, their ability to pilot advanced aircraft, and the abrupt disbandment of the program in 1944, leaving them without recognition or benefits. Through a blend of personal interviews with WASP members, archival footage, historical images, and expert commentary, 'Flying Dreams' offers an inspiring testament to their courage and patriotism. It is a vital historical record that captivates and educates, ensuring these remarkable women receive the acknowledgement they so richly deserve.
