FLYING BY

Cinemavixion Review

Jim Amatulli's 2009 drama, "Flying By," offers a poignant exploration of midlife reawakening through the lens of music. Starring Billy Ray Cyrus as a successful real estate developer, the film delves into his character's internal conflict as he grapples with the allure of pursuing a lifelong passion for music against the backdrop of his demanding career and strained marriage. Heather Locklear and the legendary Patricia Neal lend their talents to supporting roles, adding depth to this narrative of rediscovery. While the film may not have garnered widespread critical acclaim, it presents a relatable journey for anyone who has ever questioned their life choices and yearned to reconnect with a forgotten dream. The musical elements, central to the plot, provide an emotional anchor as the protagonist navigates the potential fallout of chasing his true calling.
