FISHING FOR LOVE

Cinemavixion Review

David Bercovici-Artieda's "Fishing for Love" (2021) offers a pleasant, if predictable, romantic escapade set against the backdrop of Mystic Bay's Big Catch Festival. The film centers on Kendall, a driven restaurant designer who finds her return home complicated by the arrival of Zack, a charming newcomer. As Kendall navigates the familiar waters of her hometown, she grapples with the possibility of finding unexpected romance. Starring Andrea Brooks and Spencer Lord, the movie leans into the cozy charm of small-town settings and the well-trodden path of romantic comedies. While "Fishing for Love" may not reinvent the genre, it provides a heartwarming and engaging watch for those seeking a lighthearted story about second chances and the serendipity of love. The film garnered a nomination, suggesting a degree of critical recognition for its efforts in the romance genre.
