FINAL TARGET: PLANET EARTH

Cinemavixion Review

Elliott Haimoff's 1997 documentary, "Final Target: Planet Earth," offers a prescient and sobering examination of humanity's efforts to detect and potentially mitigate the existential threat posed by celestial bodies. The film delves into the scientific endeavors aimed at identifying comets and asteroids on collision courses with our planet, while also exploring the ambitious strategies conceived for our long-term survival. Though perhaps less known than contemporary blockbusters, this documentary serves as a vital reminder of our place in the cosmos and the continuous vigilance required to safeguard our future. It is a compelling piece for anyone interested in astronomy, planetary science, and the profound questions surrounding our existence.
