FILM! A MIRACLE FROM YOUR FAVORITE SURGEON! ANOTHER FACE!

Cinemavixion Review

This film plunges into the unsettling depths of identity and obsession, centered on Vera, a woman whose life is irrevocably altered by a disfiguring accident and a subsequent experimental surgery. The narrative masterfully explores the psychological toll of losing one's face, both literally and figuratively. Vera's journey is a poignant examination of self-perception as she navigates the affections of her husband, who struggles to reconcile her new appearance with his memories, and the increasingly possessive attention of the surgeon, Dr. Maxim Preslavskiy. The film raises profound questions about the nature of love, ownership, and the very essence of who we are when our physical form is no longer our own. The discovery of a past life, intertwined with Maxim's deceased wife, Dasha, adds layers of mystery and psychological tension, pushing Vera towards a desperate search for truth and autonomy.
