FIGHTING FOR FAMILY | STREET

Cinemavixion Review

Bradford May's 'Fighting for Family | Street' plunges into the gritty underbelly of urban life, centering on Remo Street's desperate struggle to uplift his family. Burdened by a past that shadows his present, Remo's earnest attempts to secure a stable future for his ailing mother and sister are repeatedly thwarted by life's harsh realities. His path takes an unexpected and dangerous turn when, in an effort to do right, he is drawn into the clandestine world of underground fighting. With few alternatives presenting themselves, Remo makes the fateful decision to enter the ring, transforming himself into a fighter. A glimmer of hope appears in the form of Coach Oz, a man indebted to Remo for a past kindness, who offers him employment at his gym. Under Oz's tutelage, Remo begins to hone his combat skills, embarking on a journey that is as much about self-discovery as it is about survival. Yet, his nascent stability is shattered when he is forced into a confrontation with a menacing Russian gangster. The stakes skyrocket as Remo finds himself navigating a treacherous landscape of illicit fights, clandestine gambling, and dangerous characters. Against overwhelming odds, Remo must leverage his burgeoning abilities to safeguard not only himself but also those he holds dear.
