FIGHTING ACE

Cinemavixion Review

"Fighting Ace" (1979) is a quintessential martial arts film from the golden era of Hong Kong cinema, helmed by director Chih-Chao Chang. The narrative centers on a compelling revenge plot, where a martial artist, after two decades of mourning his parents, adopts a guise of ignorance regarding kung fu. This deception, however, proves fragile, as his true prowess inevitably surfaces, placing him and his companions in grave danger from the very forces he seeks to dismantle. Starring the formidable John Liu, alongside Chun-Erh Lung and Ah-Lei, the film delivers the high-octane action and intricate fight choreography expected from the genre. While specific award recognition is not detailed, its plot and cast suggest a solid entry for fans of classic kung fu cinema, offering a blend of dramatic tension and thrilling combat sequences.
