FIAT AND MUSSOLINI: THE RISE AND FALL OF ITALY'S FASCIST WAR MACHINE

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the complex and morally ambiguous relationship between Giovanni Agnelli, the founder of Fiat, and Benito Mussolini, the fascist dictator of Italy. It chronicles how Agnelli leveraged his political connections to elevate Fiat into an industrial powerhouse on the global stage. The narrative highlights the dramatic shift in their fortunes as Italy's involvement in World War II escalated, raising questions about corporate responsibility and complicity in authoritarian regimes. The film provides a fascinating, albeit somber, look at how industrial might and political power became inextricably linked, ultimately leading to a downfall that impacted both the company and the nation.
