FENDER BENDER

Cinemavixion Review

Mark Pavia's 'Fender Bender' plunges viewers into the unsettling quiet of a small New Mexico town, where a seemingly innocuous teenage mishap spirals into a night of sheer terror. The film masterfully builds suspense, transforming a simple fender bender into a catalyst for a chilling encounter with a predatory stranger. Makenzie Vega delivers a compelling performance as the young protagonist, navigating the treacherous transition from adolescent freedom to bone-chilling vulnerability. Bill Sage is disturbingly effective as the relentless antagonist, embodying a palpable sense of dread that haunts the desolate suburban landscape. Pavia skillfully utilizes the isolated setting and stormy atmosphere to amplify the tension, creating a claustrophobic and unnerving experience. 'Fender Bender' is a taut thriller that preys on the anxieties of newfound independence, reminding us that sometimes the most dangerous encounters stem from the simplest of exchanges.
