FATHER VS. SON

Cinemavixion Review

Joe Ballarini's "Father vs. Son" offers a comedic exploration of familial dynamics colliding with the often-awkward world of modern dating. The film centers on a young man attempting to maintain a semblance of normalcy, only to find his life upended by his newly divorced father's enthusiastic, and perhaps misguided, re-entry into the singles scene. While the premise leans into familiar territory, the execution, bolstered by performances from Josh Dean and Heather Stephens, provides a lighthearted if occasionally predictable, look at generational differences and the challenges of reinvention. The narrative effectively captures the tension and humor that arises when parental expectations meet youthful independence, making it a watchable, if not groundbreaking, entry in the relationship comedy genre.
