FARE

Cinemavixion Review

Thomas Torrey's 'Fare' is a masterclass in contained tension, a dramatic thriller filmed entirely within the confines of a car over three days. This bold stylistic choice amplifies the suffocating intimacy of the narrative, which centers on a cab driver and a passenger whose encounter spirals into a dark exploration of love and betrayal. The film masterfully blurs genre lines, shifting from intimate drama to gripping thriller with unnerving precision. Anchored by strong performances, particularly from Torrey himself, 'Fare' delves into the desperate fight for a committed relationship, revealing the psychological depths characters will plumb. The film's critical acclaim, including a reported 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, underscores its power as a thought-provoking and intense cinematic experience that lingers long after the credits roll.
