FALLING FOR THE COMPETITION

Cinemavixion Review

In "Falling For The Competition," director Brittany Goodwin crafts a charming romantic comedy that explores the delightful chaos of small-town rivalry. The film centers on Molly, a dedicated leader of a local mom's group, whose world is turned upside down by the arrival of Ashley and his rival dad's group. What begins as a series of escalating, good-natured competitions—from bake-offs to fun-runs—soon reveals an undeniable chemistry between the two protagonists. Francesca Barker McCormick and Michael Joseph Nelson deliver performances brimming with energy and comedic timing, skillfully navigating the transition from adversaries to potential partners. The narrative cleverly uses their competitive spirit as a backdrop to explore themes of community, shared parenting challenges, and the unexpected places love can bloom. It’s a heartwarming and engaging tale that celebrates finding connection amidst the everyday hustle.
