Cinemavixion Review

Chloe Domont's directorial debut, "Fair Play," offers a sharp and compelling look into the corrosive effects of ambition on a nascent relationship within the cutthroat world of finance. Phoebe Dynevor and Alden Ehrenreich deliver potent performances as a couple whose careers become inextricably intertwined, leading to a tense exploration of power dynamics, trust, and the sacrifices demanded by professional ascent. The film masterfully builds suspense, mirroring the high-stakes environment it depicts, as unspoken resentments and competitive urges threaten to dismantle their personal lives. With a taut script and assured direction, "Fair Play" is a sophisticated thriller that resonates with its incisive commentary on modern relationships and the compromises we make in pursuit of success. A must-watch for those who appreciate character-driven dramas with a formidable edge.
