FACCIAMO PARADISO - LOOKING FOR PARADISE

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary, 'Facciamo Paradiso - Looking for Paradise,' chronicles the extraordinary life of Claudia Bertelli. Born into a Milanese bourgeois family in 1949, Bertelli's journey was one of constant transformation and unwavering purpose. Her education in England marked the beginning of a path less traveled, embracing roles as a rebellious single mother, a fervent feminist, a devoted wife, and a compassionate doctor working in developing nations. The narrative culminates in her later years as a mystical nun, finding peace as she passed away in 2011. The film, directed by Mario Monicelli, offers a compelling portrait of a woman who navigated societal expectations and personal convictions with remarkable resilience and depth, exploring themes of identity, activism, and spirituality across a rich and varied existence.
