EXPRESSWAY TO YOUR SKULL

Cinemavixion Review

Michael Okum's "Expressway to Your Skull" plunges viewers into the desperate existence of Ed and Amy, a young couple whose pursuit of a better life takes a dark and nightmarish turn. This 2014 thriller, starring Paul S. Tracey and Lindsay Atwood, follows the pair as they embark on a seemingly idyllic three-day getaway, armed with drugs and a reckless optimism. However, as they venture into the woods, their escape rapidly devolves into a harrowing ordeal, exploring themes of desperation and the perilous search for a fix in a strapped existence. While the film may not have garnered widespread critical acclaim, its straightforward narrative and unsettling premise offer a raw look at characters teetering on the edge, making it a compelling watch for those drawn to psychological thrillers with a grim outlook.
