EXPERIENCING NONCHALANCE: THE HOUSE OF LATITUDE REVEALED

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the enigmatic "House Of Latitude," a San Francisco-based collective that sought to forge a new society detached from conventional traditions. Operating under the guise of "Absolute Discretion," the Latitude Society presented itself as a playful experiment in "Nonchalance," a game designed to foster genuine connections and offer an escape from the mundane through practices like meditation and structured play. The film offers an intriguing invitation to explore this unique world, guided by the perspectives of individuals who were once part of this secretive organization. It prompts reflection on the nature of community, societal norms, and the human desire for meaningful engagement beyond the everyday.
