EVIL UNDER THE SKIN

Cinemavixion Review

Jeffrey Schneider's "Evil Under the Skin" plunges viewers into a chilling narrative of familial disconnection set against a backdrop of escalating dread. The film centers on a mother and daughter seeking solace in a secluded weekend getaway, only to find their reunion overshadowed by the sinister history of their chosen abode. As the house's secrets unravel, so too do the characters' psyches, leading them down a perilous path into madness. Helene Udy and Pamela Sutch deliver performances that capture the fragility and eventual unraveling of their characters, supported by Schneider's direction that masterfully builds atmospheric tension. While the film's IMDb rating suggests a polarizing reception, its commitment to a disturbing, psychological descent makes it a noteworthy entry for fans of atmospheric horror that explores the darkness lurking both within and without.
