EVIL BLOODLINE AWAKENS

Cinemavixion Review

Marie Alice Wolfszahn's "Evil Bloodline Awakens" plunges viewers into an unsettling Austrian manor, where a nurse's assignment becomes a descent into a gothic nightmare. Shot with the distinctive visual flair of 1970s Euro-horror, the film masterfully blends ritualistic suspense with potent feminist themes. Isabella Händler delivers a compelling performance as Sigrun, whose growing connection with her enigmatic patient unearths dark secrets. These secrets are intricately tied to Nazi mysticism and Sigrun's own forgotten past, creating a chilling exploration of identity and inherited ideologies. The film's triumph at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival, securing Best Film and Best Director, is a testament to its powerful narrative and Wolfszahn's assured direction. "Evil Bloodline Awakens" is a thought-provoking and visually striking addition to the horror canon, recommended for those who appreciate atmospheric storytelling and thematic depth.
