EVERY SECRET HIDDEN IN LORD OF THE FLIES

Cinemavixion Review

William Golding's 'Lord of the Flies' remains a potent exploration of human nature, dissecting the thin veneer of civilization when confronted with primal instincts. The novel masterfully charts the descent of a group of British schoolboys, stranded on a deserted island, into savagery. As order dissolves, the narrative confronts the inherent darkness within humanity, questioning the very foundations of societal structure and morality. The struggle between Ralph's attempts at rational leadership and Jack's burgeoning dictatorship serves as a powerful allegory for the eternal conflict between reason and chaos. Golding’s stark prose and unflinching portrayal of the boys' transformation offer a timeless, albeit chilling, commentary on the fragility of civilization and the enduring power of the beast within.
