EVEN MORE IN YOUR FACE: CONFRONTING TATTOO PREJUDICE

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary offers a compelling, if informal, investigation into the pervasive prejudice surrounding facial tattoos. By having enthusiasts with prominent ink temporarily conceal their art, the film starkly illustrates the societal biases many in the tattooed community face daily. The inclusion of a subject testing fake facial tattoos before committing to permanent ink adds another layer, highlighting the anxiety and anticipation associated with such a bold personal statement. The narrative effectively contrasts the experiences, prompting viewers to question their own assumptions and the superficial judgments we often make. It's a thought-provoking exploration of identity, acceptance, and the visual language of self-expression in a world that often struggles with non-conformity.
