ESSEX BOYS RETRIBUTION

Cinemavixion Review

In 'Essex Boys Retribution,' director Paul Tanter revisits the grim legacy of Britain's notorious gangland figures, twenty years after a series of infamous murders left a void in the criminal underworld. The film, released in 2013, stars Ian Virgo, Ryan Winsley, and Alex Esmail as the new generation of ambitious individuals vying for control. As the narrative unfolds, it becomes clear that the past is far from buried; simmering resentments and a thirst for vengeance drive the plot forward, threatening to engulf the established order. The film delves into the cyclical nature of violence and the enduring quest for justice, or perhaps retribution, within a landscape shaped by brutal history. While the external data notes a modest IMDb rating of 4.3/10, the film offers a gritty portrayal of contemporary crime, exploring the complex motivations and consequences that ripple through the lives of those involved.
