EPIDEMIC

Cinemavixion Review

Stephen Michael Giglio's 2018 film "Epidemic" plunges viewers into a tense scenario where a deadly pathogen threatens to decimate attendees at a birthday party. The narrative centers on Dana Overbeck's 30th celebration, an event overshadowed by the impending arrival of her estranged father, Rufus, who comes bearing intentions of reconciliation. While the film garnered a modest reception, with an IMDb rating of 2.6/10, its chilling premise and contained setting offer a gripping exploration of contagion and familial dynamics. The sparse runtime of 71 minutes ensures a focused and efficient delivery of its suspenseful plot, making "Epidemic" a noteworthy, albeit bleak, entry in the horror genre.
