EPIDEMIC

Cinemavixion Review

This 2018 independent horror feature, 'Epidemic,' plunges viewers into a tense scenario where a deadly pathogen infiltrates a seemingly ordinary birthday celebration. The narrative centers on Dana Overbeck's 30th birthday, a gathering complicated by the arrival of her estranged father, Rufus. The film masterfully builds suspense as the unseen threat spreads, turning a moment of potential reconciliation into a fight for survival. While the IMDb rating suggests a challenging reception, the core premise offers a compelling exploration of how personal relationships and unexpected crises intersect. The tight runtime and focused plot make it a potentially brisk and engaging watch for fans of contained thrillers.
