ENGINE 9: A BUSY DAY AT THE FIRE STATION

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary offers an unfiltered glimpse into the demanding world of a fire station, specifically focusing on Station 9's B Shift. Led by Captain Karey Wedemeyer, the crew navigates a typical 48-hour shift filled with diverse calls. The narrative smoothly transitions from an emergency medical service call involving a pregnant woman with asthma to the logistical challenge of stocking provisions for the entire shift. The latter half of the film intensifies with a response to a reported smoke incident at a local restaurant during a street fair, highlighting the difficulties of pinpointing a source within a complex structure. The documentary culminates with a concerning call involving a potential arson, escalating to a fire threatening a residential dwelling. The film excels in showcasing the crew's professionalism, quick thinking, and the inherent unpredictability of their vital work.
