ELVIRA'S HAUNTED HILLS

Cinemavixion Review

Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, returns in "Elvira's Haunted Hills," a delightful romp that channels the spirit of classic B-movies with a modern, campy sensibility. Set in 1851, the film sees Elvira inadvertently spending the night at a mysterious, haunted castle, a premise that allows Cassandra Peterson to shine in her iconic role. The narrative, penned by Peterson herself, deftly blends horror tropes with Elvira's signature saucy humor, creating a fun and engaging experience. Director Sam Irvin crafts a visually appealing, albeit low-budget, gothic atmosphere that complements the comedic elements. While not a critical darling, the film garnered a respectable 71% on Rotten Tomatoes, a testament to its charm and the enduring appeal of its star. "Elvira's Haunted Hills" is a must-watch for fans of the genre and a welcome addition to Elvira's legacy.
