Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the disturbing case of Elizabeth Wettlaufer, a nurse who transitioned into a serial killer targeting vulnerable elderly residents. The narrative explores her descent, fueled by alcoholism and a self-proclaimed divine mission to end lives. Through intimate police interview footage, Wettlaufer is presented as a complex figure, grappling with her identity and convinced she was acting under divine command. The film offers a chilling glimpse into the mind of an individual who betrayed the trust placed in her, raising profound questions about mental health, faith, and the capacity for extreme violence within seemingly caring professions. It serves as a stark reminder of the hidden dangers that can lurk beneath a facade of compassion.
