ELITE WARRIORS REVEALED: SRI LANKA’S COVERT UNIT BEHIND ENEMY LINES

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the secretive world of Sri Lanka's Long Range Patrol Unit, an elite Special Forces group formed in 1996 amidst the nation's protracted civil war. Operating for years under a veil of secrecy, this unit was instrumental in gathering crucial intelligence and neutralizing high-value targets deep within enemy territory. The film highlights the brutal and demanding six-month training regimen, including an initial three-week period designed to push recruits to their absolute physical and psychological breaking points. It offers a rare glimpse into the rigorous selection and preparation of soldiers tasked with some of the most dangerous missions, shedding light on their pivotal, yet largely unknown, role in the conflict's trajectory.
