ECLIPSE: THE RISE OF INK

Cinemavixion Review

"Eclipse: The Rise of Ink" presents a unique narrative centered on Casey, a fervent comic book aficionado who believes his destiny is intertwined with that of a superhero. This independent film, released in 2018, plunges viewers into a frantic 24-hour race against time as Casey attempts to decipher cryptic clues from a comic to avert a crisis in New York City. The film's strength lies in its earnest portrayal of a fanboy's unwavering conviction, brought to life by the performances of Kalani Robinson, Scout Landry, and Samuel Sweeney. While the external data suggests a director and writer in Alexander Bok, the core of the story—a blend of urban fantasy and a ticking-clock thriller—remains consistent. It's a charming exploration of aspiration and the blurred lines between fandom and reality, encouraging audiences to embrace their own potential for heroism.
