Cinemavixion Review

In 'Ebola Rex', the premise alone promises a unique blend of creature feature and biological horror, and the execution largely delivers on that outlandish promise. Set against the backdrop of a besieged Los Angeles, the film pits a genetically modified, virus-ridden T-Rex against a desperate group of survivors, including a grizzled soldier. The narrative cleverly weaves the threat of the monstrous dinosaur with the terrifying potential of a global pandemic. While the film embraces its B-movie roots with a straightforward plot and a palpable sense of urgency, it's the commitment to its high-concept idea that truly shines. The creature effects, though perhaps not blockbuster-level, serve the story effectively, and the ensemble cast, particularly Mel Novak and Mike Ferguson, inject a commendable energy into their roles. 'Ebola Rex' is a rollicking, no-holds-barred ride that understands its audience and provides exactly the kind of thrilling, albeit terrifying, escape it sets out to be.
