DRY BLOOD

Cinemavixion Review

"Dry Blood" plunges viewers into the harrowing depths of addiction and psychological torment. Set against the stark isolation of a rural mountain town, the film follows Brian's desperate attempt at a cold-turkey detox in his family cabin. The narrative masterfully blurs the lines between the agonizing physical and mental toll of withdrawal and the encroaching supernatural. As Brian's grip on reality loosens, he is besieged by terrifying hallucinations and the chilling presence of a local sheriff, forcing him to question the nature of his torment. The film excels in its claustrophobic atmosphere and the palpable sense of dread that permeates every frame. Brian's struggle is a visceral one, amplified by the unsettling ambiguity of whether his experiences stem from his past traumas or a genuine spectral threat. This descent into a surreal murder mystery, coupled with the internal battle against addiction, creates a compelling and disquieting cinematic experience that lingers long after the credits roll.
