DRUNK SCORPION

Cinemavixion Review

In "Drunk Scorpion," released in 2020, director True crafts a gritty narrative centered on Dean, a man desperately seeking to overcome an overdose and escape the harsh realities of street life. The film's trajectory shifts dramatically when Maria enters the picture, offering a lifeline that forces Dean to confront the depths of his own desperation. What follows is a descent into a violent struggle for survival, where the pursuit of salvation leaves a grim trail of consequences. Starring True, Chanel Mack, and Ewa Maria Wojcik, the film delves into themes of addiction, redemption, and the extreme measures one might take when pushed to the brink. While the plot summary suggests a harrowing journey, the film's reception, as indicated by its IMDb rating of 5.4, points to a mixed but engaging exploration of dark themes.
