DROWN THE CLOWN

Cinemavixion Review

Justin Viggiano's "Drown the Clown" plunges into the psychological depths of grief and delusion, anchored by a chilling premise. The film follows Claire Sable, a woman whose already fragile psyche is shattered by the disappearance of her daughter's clown doll from her new workplace. This unsettling toy begins to manifest in increasingly disturbing ways, blurring the lines between reality and hallucination for Claire, who is still reeling from a recent personal tragedy. Director Viggiano masterfully builds a suffocating atmosphere of dread, utilizing the unsettling imagery of the clown to tap into primal fears. Claritza Brown delivers a compelling performance as Claire, navigating the character's descent into paranoia with raw intensity. While the film may explore familiar themes of loss and the supernatural, its execution, particularly the unsettling visual storytelling and the central performance, makes "Drown the Clown" a disturbing and memorable watch for fans of psychological thrillers.
