DR. CHRISTIAN JESSEN GOES UNDERCOVER TO EXPLORE GAY CONVERSION THERAPY

Cinemavixion Review

Dr. Christian Jessen bravely ventures into the controversial and often harmful world of gay conversion therapy in this eye-opening documentary. By adopting an undercover approach, Jessen directly confronts the dubious claims and practices employed by various 'cures' in both the US and the UK. His encounters, particularly with John Smid, a former director of the Love in Action ex-gay ministry, offer a stark look at the methods used, humorously highlighted by the 'Bible belt gaydar.' Jessen's investigation not only questions the efficacy of these therapies but also exposes the underlying agendas of those promoting them. This film serves as a crucial examination of a practice that continues to inflict damage, encouraging viewers to critically assess its ethical and psychological implications.
