DOUBLE BLIND

Cinemavixion Review

Ian Hunt-Duffy's "Double Blind" plunges viewers into a chilling scenario where a lucrative drug trial becomes a desperate fight for survival. The premise is immediately gripping: a potent experimental drug promises financial freedom but carries a fatal consequence—sleep equals death. This high-stakes concept is expertly executed, trapping a group of test subjects in a sealed facility where paranoia and exhaustion are as dangerous as the drug itself. Millie Brady and Pollyanna McIntosh deliver compelling performances, navigating the escalating terror and moral compromises with visceral intensity. The film excels in building suspense, transforming the sterile environment of the trial into a claustrophobic nightmare. With its taut direction and thought-provoking exploration of desperation, "Double Blind" is a standout thriller that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats, questioning the price of progress and the will to live.
