Cinemavixion Review

This 1973 horror film, "Don't Look in the Basement," plunges viewers into the chilling atmosphere of the isolated Stephens Sanitorium. The narrative follows Nurse Charlotte Beale as she begins her new role, only to uncover a dark secret: the former doctor was murdered by a patient. Her predecessor, Dr. Geraldine Masters, seems reluctant to embrace new staff, adding to the palpable tension. The film promises a descent into madness as Charlotte faces torment and harassment from the patients, hinting at the sinister reasons behind the sanitarium's secrecy. With a cast including Bill McGhee and Jessie Lee Fulton, the film sets the stage for a claustrophobic and unsettling experience within its remote setting.
