DID THE MOB KILL JFK? CONFESSIONS OF A MAFIA HITMAN

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the shadowy intersections of organized crime and significant historical events, specifically questioning the mob's potential involvement in the JFK assassination through the lens of Frank Sheeran. The narrative traces the decline of the Irish Mob and the rise of the Italian Mafia, highlighting Sheeran's alleged connections to both and his proximity to the infamous Jimmy Hoffa disappearance. The film also charts the brutal ascent of Whitey Bulger in Boston, detailing his decades-long reign built on violence and corruption, aided by FBI informants. While the film posits Sheeran's potential role in national events, it also grounds itself in the gritty reality of Boston's underworld under Bulger. The documentary aims to connect these disparate threads of American criminal history, offering a speculative yet compelling look at the men who operated in the margins and their possible impact on the nation's past.
