DICK DYNAMITE: 1944 - ZOMBIES, NAZIS AND A WHOLE LOTTA GUTS!

Cinemavixion Review

Robbie "Steed" Davidson's "Dick Dynamite: 1944 - Zombies, Nazis And A Whole Lotta Guts!" bursts onto the screen with a gleefully over-the-top premise that blends the gritty realities of World War II with outrageous zombie horror and action-comedy. Set in the final days of the war, the film follows the titular Dick Dynamite, a one-man army of excessive brutality, who is recruited for a perilous mission. He joins forces with a band of misfits to infiltrate German territory and thwart the plans of the nefarious Colonel Maximillian Schtacker. Schtacker's diabolical project, the "Amerika Bomber," aims to unleash a horde of flesh-eating Nazi zombies upon New York City. Drawing inspiration from the bombastic heroism of 1970s comics like Commando, the high-octane action of Arnold Schwarzenegger's filmography, and the splatter-filled, "gonzo parody" style reminiscent of the Wolfenstein universe, this film promises a wild ride for fans of "Inglourious Basterds" and "Mad Heidi." Davidson, a musician making his feature directorial debut, crafts a narrative that is as ambitious as it is absurd, delivering a unique take on the war film genre.
