Cinemavixion Review

In "Diario Segreto da un Carcere Femminile" (1973), director Rino Di Silvestro crafts a tense thriller centered on Lilly (played by Jenny Tamburi), a young woman who infiltrates a women's prison to uncover the truth behind her father's alleged crime. Her father, Carmelo, is accused by a drug trafficking ring of making a shipment of heroin disappear. Lilly's plan is to extract information from Daniela (Eva Czemerys), who holds the key to the real events. However, Lilly is unaware that her father has already died attempting to escape the criminals. Upon learning the truth about the missing heroin from Daniela, Lilly finds herself in grave danger as a loyal enforcer for the traffickers learns of her discoveries and will stop at nothing to silence her. Anita Strindberg also features in this dramatic narrative, which explores themes of loyalty, deception, and survival within the confines of a brutal system.
