DEVIL'S WHISPER

Cinemavixion Review

Adam Ripp's 'Devil's Whisper' delves into the harrowing journey of Alejandro Duran, a young man whose devout aspirations are shattered by the discovery of a malevolent entity. This 2019 film masterfully intertwines supernatural horror with profound psychological drama, exploring themes of repressed trauma and the cyclical nature of abuse within a religious, Latino family context. Luca Oriel delivers a compelling performance as Alejandro, navigating the terrifying descent into possession while grappling with inner demons. The film's strength lies not just in its jump scares, but in its thoughtful portrayal of psychological conflict, making it a noteworthy entry in the genre that encourages deeper reflection beyond the surface-level thrills.
