DEVIL'S PATH

Cinemavixion Review

Matthew Montgomery's 'Devil's Path' plunges viewers into the unsettling atmosphere of a remote gay cruising park, where a chance encounter escalates into a harrowing fight for survival. The film masterfully crafts a tense cat-and-mouse narrative, weaving a psychological thriller that explores themes of desire, danger, and paranoia. Stephen Twardokus and JD Scalzo deliver compelling performances as two men caught in a deadly game, their initial apprehension giving way to a desperate struggle against unseen threats. Montgomery, also co-writer, demonstrates a keen eye for suspense, building dread through atmospheric cinematography and a tightly wound plot. While the film garnered a 56% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 4.7/10 on IMDb, its true strength lies in its unflinching portrayal of vulnerability and the primal instincts that surface when pushed to the edge. 'Devil's Path' is a gripping, character-driven thriller that lingers long after the credits roll.
