DESIDERI PROIBITI

Cinemavixion Review

Jean Valère's 1961 drama, 'Desideri proibiti,' plunges into the emotional turmoil of Michèle, a Parisian fashion designer whose world collapses when her lover, Philippe, abandons her, leading to a suicide attempt. Rescued by her doctor, Michèle finds an unlikely guardian in Ann, a young American nurse who moves in to ensure her patient's recovery. The film explores themes of despair, recovery, and the unexpected bonds that can form in the aftermath of personal crisis, anchored by a performance from Jean Seberg and supported by Maurice Ronet and Micheline Presle.
