DESERT CATHEDRAL

Cinemavixion Review

"Desert Cathedral" emerges as a haunting and enigmatic cinematic experience, anchored by Travis Gutierrez Senger's assured direction. The film plunges viewers into the disorienting world of a real estate developer whose mysterious 1992 disappearance serves as the narrative's core. Lee Tergesen delivers a compelling performance, complemented by Chaske Spencer and Petra Wright, as the story unfolds through a series of unsettling VHS tapes. This found-footage-esque approach amplifies the sense of unease and introspection, drawing parallels between the protagonist's unraveling and the desolate Southwestern landscape. The film masterfully blends elements of drama and mystery, creating a palpable atmosphere that lingers long after the credits roll. Its critical reception, noted by an IMDb rating of 6.4, suggests a film that resonates with those seeking a more introspective and psychologically driven narrative, rewarding patient viewers with its unique storytelling.
