DERELICT

Cinemavixion Review

"Derelict" plunges viewers into the shadowy underbelly of Los Angeles, presenting a compelling mystery centered on a spectral figure whose soul-stealing predations ignite a desperate investigation. The film, set in 2019, masterfully weaves a narrative of suspense and intrigue, driven by the chilling premise of a supernatural entity haunting the urban landscape. While the local data omits directorial credit, the external data points to Marcos Soriano, whose vision seems to effectively manifest this dark, atmospheric tale. The performances, notably by Malik Stalbert, Anna Lamadrid, and John Malone, anchor the supernatural elements with grounded humanity. "Derelict" offers a potent blend of horror and crime, exploring themes of existential dread and the search for truth amidst the macabre. It's a film that lingers, prompting reflection on the nature of good and evil long after the credits roll.
