DEPRIVATION

Cinemavixion Review

Chris Foster's "Deprivation" plunges viewers into a chilling experiment gone awry. The film follows three friends who, in a bid to test their endurance, commit to staying awake for an entire week in a remote cabin. What begins as a test of will quickly devolves into a nightmarish descent into sleep deprivation-induced hallucinations. The unsettling premise is amplified as the friends discover their "visions" are inexplicably captured on camera, blurring the lines between psychological breakdown and an external, unseen force. Foster, also starring in the film alongside Don Kimenker and Silas James Rowland, crafts an atmosphere of mounting dread, where the true horror lies not just in what is seen, but in the unraveling of the characters' own minds. While the film's reception and awards are not widely documented, its taut execution and disturbing concept make it a compelling watch for fans of psychological horror.
